The Eternity Man
Vichnyk is a film adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Myroslav Dochynets — a Shevchenko Prize winner, writer, philosopher, and journalist. The novel is based on the unique diaries of Andriy Voron, a wise man and healer from the Carpathians. Translated into 14 languages and reprinted over ten times, it has become a true “handbook of life” for an entire generation of readers.
About the Film
Vichnyk is a two-hour philosophical and historical drama that tells the story of the real-life Carpathian molfar (sorcerer-healer) Andriy Voron. It is a confession of a man who lived through events that reshaped nations and redrew borders. From a young apprentice and healer to a soldier of Carpathian Ukraine, from imprisonment in Siberia to his return to his native village — where he became a molfar.
The film explores timeless themes of love, dignity, and devotion to one’s homeland.
